2019 Million Meter Row Funds Raised

The Million Meter Row

“Roughly 20 veterans a day commit suicide nationwide, according to new data from the Department of Veterans Affairs — a figure that dispels the often quoted, but problematic, “22 a day” estimate yet solidifies the disturbing mental health crisis the number implied.”

Our purpose is to raise money and awareness for United States Military Veterans. In its third year, the Million Meter Row brings together 40 teams each rowing 25,000 meters to reach 1,000,000 meters for the day on Concept2 stationary rowing machines.

One Day.

40+ stationary rowers set to count down from 25,000 meters to 0(this takes roughly 90 min give-or-take 15min depending on the strength of the team).

Teams can be comprised of any number of participants.

The majority of teams are comprised of 4-5 individuals.

40 teams of rowers is the goal, but not the maximum!

THE WHY

We are are committed to the men and women that served our country.

One of the greatest challenges for service members transitioning to out of the military is a loss of purpose and a struggle to assimilate to the civilian world.

We feel that GallantFew’s mission, “To facilitate a peaceful, successful transition from military service to a civilian life filled with hope and purpose,” holds true to the purpose of this event which is to support military veterans here at home in the United States. A core function of GallantFew is to set active duty military members on the proper path, so when they transition to civilian life, they are more equipped for a successful life.

By giving men and women the tools to succeed before they separate from their military service, we believe that we can have a greater impact in the fight to end veteran suicide.

WHO WE ARE DONATING TO

The Million Meter Row serves as a fundraiser for GallantFew. Because of you, GallantFew is able to continue the mission and expand our network of guides poised to help service members with their transition.
